5 types of modelling you should know

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

5 Different types of modelling you should know | Eko Model Management

There are many different kinds of models, and they may all be used with various things, in various environments, and with various types of individuals. It can take some time to choose the form of modelling that best suits your personality and you, but frequently the type of modelling you are best suited for will pick you. In other words, some prospective models simply possess a physical appearance and presence that are best suited for a particular type of modelling.

Here are 5 different modelling types that might suit you:

Catalog Modelling

Catalog Models are hired to appear in a variety of medias, including catalogs. From shootings for art galleries like Adams Auctioneers Dublin to shoots for a doctor’s offices for medical catalogs, the possibilities are ended. Some Irish Modelling Agencies may offer this service but not every agency does.

Commercial Modelling

Commercial modelling is divided into several areas, including catalog, fit, and editorial. Except for editorial images used in fashion magazines, commercial models are the attractive, "real"-looking persons you see in advertising. Commercial modelling jobs are accessible for people of all ages and shapes. Commercial modelling employment abound, ranging from lifestyle catalogs to medical pamphlets. Actors make up a large percentage of successful commercial models; if you can portray numerous layers of emotion for the camera, this is an excellent fit for you. Acting experience isn’t a most in the commercial space, but we highly recommend it, as its important to be able to not only comfortable in front of the camera but also be able to hit and emotion cord when acting. Its a skill which can be learnt. If you’re thinking of considering acting, we recomend checking out Gaiety Social of Acting they offer a range of courses for all levels of experience. A lot of Irish Modelling Agencies look out for experience, so the more experience or courses you’ve done the better.

Fashion Modelling

Fashion models strut down the catwalk, advertising high-end designer wear. They're also hired to work on editorial projects. Editorials are still pictures of fashion models wearing luxury clothes in the fashion industry. Magazines including Vanity Fair, Elle, Vogue , Image.ie, Irish Tatler and The Gloss have featured them. Fashion Modelling is more restrictive, in that there are more requirements than other categories. Fashion Models don’t have to only walk down catwalks for high-end designers, they can also be hired for fashion shows and fashion showcases of any size. Some Modelling Agencies in Ireland offer service, but not all of them. So its important to know what model you want to be.

Fitness Modelling

Fitness models must have athletic bodies and be in excellent physical condition. They're hired to create advertisements for a wide range of businesses, including gyms and companies that provide health supplements or fitness apparel.

Freelance Modelling

The majority of models do not pursue modelling as a career full-time. They have other sources of income and work in their field on a regular basis. Although many freelancers find employment on their own, some are represented by an agency. To find go-sees (modelling auditions) and gigs as a freelance model, you must advertise yourself. It is critical for freelance models to have impressive portfolios. Know what the going rates are in your area so you can effectively negotiate. The term "freelance model" can refer to someone who works with multiple agents and is not signed to a single Model or Talent agency.
